Sweet Temptations History:
What started in 1996 as simply a passion for food; its creation and enjoyment has launched Linda Adamthwaite, owner and founder of Sweet Temptations into the food services industry with many its twists and turns.
That passion for making deserts of all sorts led Linda to create her own fudge recipe for family and friends. There were many hours of trial and error until she mastered her art. Everyone agreed her fudge was to die for: rich, creamy and smooth, but not overwhelmingly sweet.
After many compliments and suggestions that Linda should charge for such a wonderful creation over a kitchen table discussion with friends and her first husband the business: Sweet Temptations – Homemade Confectionary Delights was born.
Sweet Temptations over the years was perhaps more a hobby business than full time venture. Marketing is one of Linda’s strong points and her Fudges were to be seen in 20+ local stores in the Lakeview, Big Rapids, and Greenville ,Michigan area. With the onset of rising costs and smaller businesses closing, unable to compete with the larger chains, so Sweet Temptations clients began to slow.
Over the last few years a renewed direction for Sweet Temptations into local Arts and Craft shows saw a modest return to local exposure. You can check out the up coming events on the calendar on the left. Those shows include locations in Klackle Orchards Craft Show in Greenville, Portland Craft Show, Morley Stanwood Holiday Bazaar, Holiday Art & Craft Show in Fremont, Holiday Arts and Craft Fair – Rockford Band Boosters Craft Show - Wexford Civic Center in Cadillac, North Muskegon Craft Show, Hudsonville Lions Club Holiday Craft Show, Mrs. Claus’ Bazaar and Craft Show – Ionia Middle School, Annual Tiger Bazaar - Shelby High School, and Happy Elves Craft Show – Grand Haven, MI.

In 2008, after discussions with the local Lakeview Community Schools’ band director and motivation from various friends, Linda and Tim Adamthwaite changed the primary business direction again. That direction redefined Sweet Temptations primary focus on fundraisers. Their first fundraiser for the Lakeview Schools’ Bands raised almost $2000 for the band. Coupled with the web presence you are now viewing Linda and Tim are confident that Sweet Temptations will continue to grow into a full time venture.
